100 words 'Casual Storm'The storm clouds rolled across the clear sky, bringing on a premature dusk. Like an old man in a mourning suit they shuffled uneasily, while sweat drenched my face in the sudden humidity. A lightning flash streaked across the horizon, and hung a few moments longer than it should have; the thunder rumbled lazily before fading, indistinguishable from traffic noise.100 words 'Casual Storm'
The rain, when it finally arrived, was true to its lethargic fanfare, and stayed long enough to moisten the grass before weakening. In moments the sky cleared and the storm departed as casually as it had arrived.

The mage cast his fireball while the barbarian shouted a battle cry to the gods. The fighter drew her sword and the bard hid in the background, strumming his harp and inspiring us all.
We come together for gold and glory; more for the gold than the glory, usually. We travel the countryside rescuing damsels and saving villages, crawling through dungeons and fighting monsters.
With magic and might, we vanquish the enemy of the day. And when we have received our reward from a grateful king, we pack up our dice, finish our drinks, and go home.
